THERMAL DISINFECTION INDICATOR (TDI)
Developed to withstand extreme conditions of industrial dishwashers, TDI Labels form part of HACCP procedures, giving a permanent record of sterilization temperatures achieved.
These water resistant, irreversible labels are easy to use and accurate to +/- 1°C. Giving a permanent record of thermal disinfection temperatures achieved, they indicate when correct temperatures are not being achieved for evidence of health and safety due diligence.
Single Temperature Indicators are designed for regular and daily checks. Multi-Level temperature indicators are designed for a more in-depth check to prove what temperature level has been achieved.
Thermostrip® DL is a self-adhering and waterproof color changing label that measures the surface temperature of dishware in dish washing machines. Using Thermostrip® DL on a dish surface with each wash cycle will provide a record that the proper sanitation temperature has been reached
Thermostrip DS is a single use irreversible color changing indicator strip that tests the temperature of the water in your dishwasher and is designed to be dated, initialed and affixed to the wash batch record. Slotted strips ensure that the indicator is secured on to a utensil or tray, reducing the risk of the strip falling off during a wash cycle yet easily removed and attached to the batch record.
Thermocapture® DL is a personalized with QR code, self-adhering, waterproof, color-changing label that measures the surface temperature of dishware in dishwashers. Using Thermocapture DL on a dish surface with each wash cycle will indicate that the proper dishwasher temperature has been reached for sanitation.
Thermocapture App will photograph the irreversible temperature label capturing your information including the pass/fail color change and upload data and images to your password-protected web page.
Section 4.7 of the Food Code calls for food safety labels that measure sanitized food contact surfaces and utensils by an irreversible registering indicator.
The temperature-sensitive elements are phase-change indicators which use the sharply defined melting points of a series of specially purified organic chemicals to give the unique, high precision, color change effects. Each temperature element uses a different chemical compound and is made separately by applying a coating containing the chemical to a special absorptive paper substrate. When the rated temperature is exceeded, the chemical melts and is absorbed by the substrate, causing a permanent color change.
